How We Earn Revenue
AGuideToSedona.com is an independently operated travel resource. To keep our content free for readers, we participate in affiliate programs with select travel partners and sell our own digital products. When you click certain links on our site and make a purchase or booking, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
Our Affiliate Partners
We currently work with the following affiliate programs:
- Viator — Tours, activities, and experience bookings. We earn a commission when you book a tour or activity through our Viator links.
- Stay22 — Hotel reservations and travel packages. We earn a commission when you book accommodation through our Stay22 links.
Our Digital Products
In addition to affiliate partnerships, we sell our own digital products directly through this website:
- Sedona Vortex Map — An interactive PDF guide to the four main Sedona vortex sites (Boynton Canyon Vortex, Airport Mesa Vortex, Bell Rock Vortex, and Cathedral Rock Vortex). The Vortex Map includes vortex information and links to interactive maps for use on your computer or mobile device. Revenue from Vortex Map sales goes directly to AGuideToSedona.com. The Sedona Vortex Map is available for purchase at aguidetosedona.com/product/sedona-vortex-map/.
We also sell GPS audio tours directly. Revenue from audio tour and digital product sales goes directly to AGuideToSedona.com.
How Affiliate Links Work
Affiliate links look and function like regular links. When you click one, a small tracking code tells the partner that you came from our site. If you go on to make a purchase, the partner pays us a referral fee. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the partner’s website.
On our site, affiliate links are typically found in:
- Hotel booking call-to-action boxes (e.g., “Check Hotel Prices”)
- Tour and activity recommendation sections (e.g., “Browse Tours”)
- Comparison guides and “best of” lists
Our Digital Product Links
Links to our own digital products, such as the Sedona Vortex Map, are direct purchase links to our own store and are not affiliate links. When you purchase a digital product, 100% of the revenue goes to AGuideToSedona.com. Digital product links are typically found in:
- Vortex-related articles and guides
- Trip planning and itinerary content
- Dedicated product pages
Our Editorial Independence
Affiliate partnerships do not influence our editorial content. Our recommendations are based on personal experience, local knowledge, and independent research. We recommend places and experiences we genuinely believe will improve your trip, regardless of whether an affiliate link is available.
We will never recommend a hotel, tour, or restaurant solely because it offers an affiliate commission. If we feature a business, it’s because we believe it provides real value to travelers visiting Sedona.
Similarly, our digital products, including the Sedona Vortex Map, are created based on our own boots-on-the-ground research and experience in Sedona. We promote them because we believe they genuinely help visitors navigate and enjoy Sedona’s vortex sites.
FTC Compliance
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, we disclose that this site contains affiliate links and that we sell our own digital products. This page serves as our comprehensive disclosure, and we also include brief disclosure notices near affiliate links throughout the site.
